What SLA Monitor does

SLA Monitor helps your team stay on top of response-time agreements in Slack. Choose the channels you care about, set an SLA (for example, 6 hours to reply), and we watch for messages from people outside your workspace that do not receive timely responses.

Key features

Channel-level SLA rules

Monitor specific channels with custom SLA windows tailored to each workflow.

External message tracking

Identify Slack Connect and guest messages that need a response from your workspace.

Pre-SLA alerts

Alert teammates before a message misses SLA so response gaps are fixed proactively.

Flexible notifications

Notify through Slack DM, email, and webhooks when alerts or failures are triggered.

Actionable failed list

Review missed messages in the Home tab with direct links and quick cleanup actions.

Workspace-safe setup

Install once and manage monitored channels and alert recipients without extra clutter.

How it works

  1. Add channels to monitor and set an SLA (hours to reply).
  2. Add the SLA Monitor app to those channels.
  3. Configure optional pre-SLA alerts and who should be notified.
  4. When external messages arrive, SLA Monitor tracks whether your team replies in time.
  5. If the SLA is close to failing or is missed, the right people are notified and the message appears in “Messages that failed the SLA”.
